FAW Electronics acquired by leading UK energy management provider
FAW Electronics has been acquired by one of the UK’s leading energy technology specialists, t-mac Technologies Ltd.
The acquisition is part of t-mac’s continued development strategy, which includes a 40 per cent growth target over the next 12 months, and will enable the company to provide a one-stop-shop for its clients’ energy management needs.
Adding to t-mac’s proven capabilities in energy management software design, the acquisition enhances the company’s portfolio, with innovative design engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
The ‘original energy dashboard company’, t-mac’s continued growth in the market has been driven by an increased understanding of the necessity of energy management by the business world with the need to monitor, manage and control energy usage never greater.
Using wireless and web-based technology, t-mac is a leading provider of intelligent systems for remote, Internet monitoring and control of assets such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration as well as consumables such as water, air, gas and electricity.
Now with this new acquisition, the t-mac team boasts 32 professionals working together to provide energy management solutions for any business across the UK.

Woodmead Energy Services
A background of electrical installation and maintenance followed by considerable experience of energy monitoring providing technical support to the marketing division of East Midlands Electricity.
Projects throughout the UK have included energy monitoring and data/billing analysis to assist companies to improve efficient use of energy. This has included disputes with electricity suppliers and distributors and site surveys, installation of temporary monitoring equipment and recommendations to install suitable power factor correction equipment.
Site surveys for the installation of aM&T at major sites, have been undertaken and with the recent advances in remote monitoring technologies surveys and installation of GSM smart meters have been undertaken at distribution centres of a leading logistics company.
The partnership with t-mac is born from a request by a leading UK energy supplier to source remote data collection technology, plan and install remote data logging equipment to monitor and analyse usage data from geothermal sites within the UK. This work is ongoing in the development of renewable energy and low carbon technology. Site visits and travel are significant reduced with the application of t-mac.

Keylon Engineering Design Limited
Keylon Engineering Design Limited is a firm of mechanical and electrical engineering consultants, with broad experience of the design, installation, operation and management of industrial and commercial projects from initial design through project management to commissioning.
Specialising in the area of energy reduction for existing buildings, Keylon offers a turnkey service in the diagnostics / understanding of the energy usage in the building, the implementation of the works required to address / solve the problems and the installation of the controls to maintain the energy reductions achieved.
Utilising both the monitoring and control functionality of the t-mac building energy management systems, t-mac allows Keylon to fully understand the problems and confirm that excessive energy usage have been addressed correctly. With most clients retaining their energy management services, after the energy reductions have been achieved, the dashboards and alarm functions of the t-mac system allow for the reductions to be a least maintained. In many cases the energy usage continue to be reduced further as the logged data grows and produces more accurate benchmarking data and allows the controls to develop.
