ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS TEST ENGINEER

Title: Electrical/Electronics Test Engineer

Salary £20-£32k

FAW Electronics and t-mac Technologies are actively looking to recruit a permanent Electrical / Electronics Test Engineer. Working with test, validation and compliance of products, you will also be involved with providing electrical support, prototype building and fault finding. Skills sought include knowledge and testing of electrical test equipment, product testing, report writing and a background in electrical / electronics engineering.

You will be required to design & build test equipment, create test methods & support the manufacturing of the company's products.

Key tasks of the test engineer's role include:

· Creating production test methods in conjunction with the development department

· Assisting with testing & creation of test functions within the company.

· EMC/CE/FCC Test Engineering experience

· Experience with electrical and rf testing and compliance e.g. CE/FCC/EMC etc

Candidate:

· The successful candidate will be qualified to Degree level or above in electronics.

Experience required:

· Previous experience in a similar role is essential

· Electronics design experience is necessary

· Ability to create test reports & documentation to a professional standard

· Experience in test & verification of RF is desirable

· PC Literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes is desirable

Particular skill / aptitude required:

· Excellent communication skills are critical

· Attention to detail is necessary

· Strong practical focus with the experience to work solo or part of a team on test activities

· Proven ability to multi-task on a number of projects

· Prioritisation skills
