Those companies actively participating in social and sustainability reports show commitment to greater corporate transparency on green issues. The Energy Showcasing Dashboard presents live and historic energy data over three main pages:
The first shows a map of the region with sites positioned on the map. The sites are grouped by their type such as public buildings, offices, distribution centres etc. When a site is selected via the click of a mouse the second page is shown which highlights a breakdown of the sites live and historic energy data. The energy rating for the site is also displayed using a *Degree Days or similar calculation. The third page shows the sites of the same type compared against each other. Summaries of the best and worst performing sites are also shown.
The Dashboard can be used by:
- Employees to view their individual retail outlet performance
- The company for portfolio performance
- The public, in-line with a company’s CSR strategy.
The Dashboard is important as it give an overall view of how the corporation is taking control of its energy use, and shows it is actively aiming to reduce carbon emissions.
