About Digital Dashboards
The latest development from the t-mac Technologies team is the Digital Dashboard,
it is an on-line, web-based system which has been designed to make the monitoring
and viewing capabilities of both the MINI t-mac, t-mac and t-mac
1U devices more accessible.
The Digital Dashboard acts as an interface between the user and the t-mac system.
It is a front-end system, detailing - through on-screen customised or generic graphics
the sites, assets, machines or metering being monitored. It carries out one
of the most important parts of day-to-day monitoring and reporting for buildings,
assets and machinery.
Dashboard should provide business with meaningful information, information that
enables you to answer those questions your business needs assistance with. For example,
for energy management, a suitable dashboard would be able to answer the following
questions:
• Am I energy efficient?
• Have I met my % reduction target?
• Which outlets/sites are bad and which are good?
• How can I improve?
• How much is it costing me?
• How do I compare to other’s (like for like – using benchmarking data)
• Have I done the best I can do?
• What’s my waste (and cost)?
• Will energy efficient equipment help?
• Do I need to change practices?
• What’s the ROI of energy efficient lighting?

The Dashboard creates a real-time view of the area being monitored, pictorially
showing the activities on site as they happen. Live data and statistics are available
instantly. In addition, with complex formula created by the t-mac team, Digital
Dashboards can convert collected data into a more recognisable form, e.g. converting
raw energy readings into meaningful business data such as £’s saved or indicating
industrial machine vibration as high, medium or low alert for ease of viewer reference.

Digital Dashboards receive automatic updates from one or many t-macs, removing
the requirement for users to log on to the t-mac webpage to view this information.
It displays current live values in a clear and meaningful graphical format for the
user.
Once created, the layout can then be viewed by stakeholders from any Internet-enabled
PC using a standard web browser.
